How it started

Milk & Pail

Our Story

My husband and I, along with our young son, raise a small herd of Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats in Hindsville, Arkansas. We purchased our first goats in 2016 and I started making soap as a way to use up some of the creamy milk our little goats produce.

As I learned more about soap making and the properties certain ingredients bring to soap, I developed my own recipes. I wanted a hard bar of soap that was mild with a good lather. All of our bar soaps today are made using my own original recipe.

Our soaps are handcrafted in small batches from start to finish. We use a blend of nourishing oils, rich butters and fresh goat milk to create a mild, hard bar of soap with a creamy lather. Each batch is poured into a wooden slab mold until hardened, then cut into bars and allowed to cure for several weeks before being labeled with a paper band and ready to be used.

Every batch is poured, cut and packaged by hand to ensure a quality product you will enjoy using.

Milk & Pail was created in 2018 and has been growing ever since. While goat milk soap is our foundation product, we also offer a collection of small batch bath and body products, along with soy candles and wax melts.

We take great joy in handcrafting our products for you. Thank you for supporting our small business and our little goats!
